Is it possible to run a simulation for a set amount of iterations, stop and then continue if more iterations are needed
The use previous run as an input enables this functionality.
When the option is checked it will use the previous run as an input and give a warning.
As an example:
Previously you had ran sectors: [0;60;120;160;360] to 500 iterations. After looking at the project afterward you note that sector 60 and 120 where the interesting wind directions and you want to see how they resolve.
So then you start a run with manually set Sector Angles [60; 120] for 500 iterations. (You can also continue all.)
This will then cause the the 2 sectors to run for 500 more iterations. And the resulting sectors and iterations will be (given no convergence):
Sector | 0 | 60 | 120 | 160 | 360 |
Iterations | 500 | 1000 | 1000 | 500 | 500 |
Note: Selecting sectors to use with previous run
When using the 'Use the previous run as input' option it is important that the sector has a previous run to refer to. If not it will try to start the project and look for the earlier run.
