I have some sectors that are not behaving as expected, they are not in important directions and I would like to use a neighboring sector instead.
If you have an unimportant sector, or misbehaving sector which you do not want to include in the calculations for the wind resource maps you can as a workaround use the neighboring sector windfields instead.This is slightly experimental and somewhat of a hack.
To do this go into the project folder and enter the windfields folder.
The windfields of the calculation of all the directions are stored as <direction>.phi or <direction>_red.phi files.
If I wanted to use the sector 000 instead of sector 022.
- Rename the 022_red.phi to 022_red_backup.phi
- Copy the 000_red.phi and rename to 022_red.phi
- Delete the *.scl files if present
- WindSim should now use the results from sector 000 as a dummy instead of sector 022, for further postprocessing.
