How to change the location of the Temp/working folder?

WindSim can perform badly and there can be other issues and bugs due to the working folder that WindSim is using. If WindSim is using a onedrive or a folder which other programs are using and backing up, or antivirus it can cause bugs due to locking and freezing of temporary files.

Changing the UserDataFolder:

You could change the location of Temp/working folder by modifying the Environment.xml file. The Temp folder is made under the UserDataFolder.

1. Make sure WindSim is closed.
2. Navigate to C:\Users\[user_name]\AppData\Roaming\WindSim\1200 and open Environment.xml file with notepad.
3. Locate line 8 and modify the path after <UserDataFolder>.
4. Save the file and start WindSim to make it work.
