How to use the Horizontal Resolution
The horizontal resolution is another option for how to configure the resolution of grid for the simulation. The option specifies the horizontal resolution of the refinement area.
Example:
Choosing a refinement area of 10'000 by 10'000 meters, the total model including the buffer area is 30'000 by 30'000.
Then in Model we choose the horizontal resolution option and set it to 200m and 30 vertical cells. The expansion outside the refinement is set to an additive length of 0.5
The horizontal resolution in the refinement area is then 200mx200m, and the scaling up to 1500 in the outer parts of the buffer zone. The total number of cells is 196830.
